# LandSite

> LandSite is advertising shaped like a pixel game. Own one of 25 plots to advertise your site, project or app. Boosters multiply your exposure and split 10% when the plot sells. Every plot is always for sale for $1 more, and bumped sites stay listed.

LandSite is advertising shaped like a pixel game. Owning a plot advertises your site, project or app on the main page (the Surface): a 5x5 grid of 25 plots, each showing one site's picture, name and one-line pitch. Boosters multiply a plot's exposure across LandSite: the board, Dig, the directory, the weekly Land Report newsletter and this file.

## How the market works
- Never-claimed land is free to claim (once claimed, never free again). A held plot can be taken for at least $1.00 more than its current price; the new price is the old price plus the increment.
- The increment also buys a lock: 1 day $1.00, 7 days $13.00, 30 days $59.00, 90 days $299.00, 180 days $1019.00, up to a full year $3979.00.
- A locked plot can still be taken by paying a 50% steal fee on top of its price.
- Locks end, but nothing expires fruitlessly: every price drains $1.00 per day and the owner keeps the plot until someone buys it or it drains to $0.
- Boosters claim a stake in a plot. The more boosts, the more exposure. When another site buys the plot, its boosters split 10% of the sale.
- A site bumped off the Surface sinks into Layer 2, then Layer 3 and further. Every site that ever paid stays listed in the directory.
- When a plot changes hands, the displaced owner gets 20% of the new price back as credits, the plot's boosters share 10%, and earlier owners share 5%.
- A live backlink badge, social shares and visitor lifts slow a site's sinking and unlock discounts.
