Promote, and everyone wins
Every person you bring to LandSite sees your site, and can boost it, follow it and do its quests. They also find a reason to come back that has nothing to do with you: they explore and earn. Traffic here is shared, so the more of it, the better for every site on the board.
What you get for sharing
- Promoter discount. A LandSite link of yours brings a visitor from a social network or another site (or your badge is live). Lasts 30 days from your latest visitor.−20% every plot
- Hype for every visitor any LandSite link of yours brings: your own site's page, someone else's, the board. Hype raises your member discount and ranks you in the Hall.+3 hype each
- Directory rank for every site you own, on the board or not. Value only goes up.+$1 rank each
- Shared by their makers: a rail on the board, the feed and site pages showing the makers whose posts brought people in this week.Free exposure
- Float in the layers if your site has sunk off the board: every visitor keeps it nearer the top.Hours each
- Social reach: the first visitor each week from each network, per site, with a confirmed email.$2.00 credits
Discounts stack within 30% and $25 per plot. A visitor counts once a day per link, up to 30 a day. The full rules
Why the people you send stick around
Most people on LandSite don't have a site. They don't build or market anything. They come because it's fun and it pays:
- Quest rewards waiting
- $32.00
- Open quests
- 3
- Boosts this week
- 23
- They earn credits doing quests sites post: try a site for 30 seconds, follow, star a repo, write a post. Each one is checked automatically or by the owner.
- They boost plots, free, once a day. When a plot is bought out, its boosters split 10% of the new money. So they boost the sites they like, and that's exposure for you.
- They discover. Dig shows one random site at a time; every site they visit is a stamp in their passport. Daily missions and streaks bring them back (2 explorers this week).
- Some of them make things too. Credits pay up to 50% of a plot, so explorers become owners, and owners become each other's audience.
So say it straight when you post: “my site is on LandSite, and you can earn credits there too.” That's true, and it's why people click.
